This policy is written to clarify what personal information we collect from you, why we need that information, and how we manage that information. We collect this information by either asking you directly, questioning your device(s) when you are using our systems, logging access to our servers, or through third party providers such as credit reporting agencies.
The reasons for needing this information depend on the type of information, but include identification of you as our customer, provision of warranty or support services, protecting you from fraudulent use of your account, ensuring our billing is correct, and optimising provision of our service to you.
Note: We do not keep any record of payment details – when provided to us they go directly into our third party payment gateway which is accredited to handle such information.
At all times, any information we collect is used only for the purpose stated when we collected the information. If we do wish to use any of your information for other purposes such as advertising or promotion, we will specifically request your express written permission.
Any of your personal information which we have collected will be stored in secure systems, using multi-factor authentication to the approved standard. Our systems are on servers based in Australia, so your information is protected under Australian law at all times. Note that some of our services use tools from third party providers, in which case your information will also be subject to their privacy arrangements. The providers which we choose are reputable, carry the appropriate accreditations and are Australian-based wherever possible.
The only time we will provide your information to a third party other than the situations described above, is when we reasonably believe that this action is required under Australian law.
In the unlikely event that our systems are compromised, we are fully committed to meeting or exceeding the mandatory reporting requirements.
At any time you have the right to request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and to correct it if you need to. It’s always a good idea to keep your personal information up to date.
If you should have a query or concern about how we have handled your personal information, please contact us. We will do our best to resolve the issue, but if you are not satisfied we will provide the details for you to make a complaint to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
